Field cast iron is made in the USA, using recycled iron sourced from American vendors, and following the same vintage-style green sand casting process used by our predecessors—with a few modern innovations.

Field cast iron cookware is seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil for naturally non-stick cooking performance.

Follow the Field Method for Cast Iron Care & Maintenance to keep your cast iron cookware clean and well-seasoned:

  1. Use the Natural Fiber Brush to scrub away food residue.
  2. Use the Chain Mail Scrubber to remove and stubborn food particles, and to gently scuff cast iron surfaces.
  3. Apply a dab of Cast Iron Seasoning Oil to a clean, dry skillet.

Like all cast iron cookware, our cast iron lids should never be cleaned in the dishwasher, or left to drip or air-dry.

    Excellent pan

After using this pan my 20 year old Lodge skillet is now a back up. I love the lighter weight and little larger size than my 12” Lodge

    Love it

I cut my teeth into the cast iron scene with a big heavy 14” cabelas brand pan that I absolutely abused. Major problem with it no lid and the thing weighted 13 pounds.

I bought this field skillet and lid as a gift to myself and have absolutely loved it. Weights half as much and the fit and finish are phenomenal. I’ve cooked everything from eggs to pork chops, braised my wife’s lazy stroganoff in it with great results, and the clean up has always been a breeze with every dish.

This skillet gets used almost daily for my family of 4, and it makes enough for leftovers to have for lunch.
