Cherry Pie Filling
Ingredients
- 2 lb cherries pitted, fresh or frozen
- 1.5 tsp lemon juice
- 2.5 Tbsp Sugar
- 2.5 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp water
Instructions
- Bring the cherries, lemon juice and sugar to a simmer.
- While the cherries are cooking, mix the cornstarch and water to a thick, glue-like consistency. Add this to the fruit, cooking until the mixture just begins to thicken.
- Remove from heat and pour onto a wide plate or dish to cool completely before using.
Bake according to standard pie recipe.
